Keeping the substances information up-to-date is a lot of work. However, in GROS the details of the various substances and information on suppliers can be included and simply presented.  Thus you do not have to maintain this information on substances yourself!

With the substance databank of BIG it is possible to acquire one or more clusters of 1,000 substances. Within the system, information on how many substances the details have been selected is kept up to date. If the clusters that have been acquired are not used, these can be simply extended with new clusters. 
Other databanks such as Chemwatch can also be accessed through GROS.
The especially for the hospitals in the Netherlands developed databank , Landelijke Databank Gezondheidszorg, is also completely available in GROS.
